About Big Picture
Big Picture is an enterprise-grade release management and licensing platform designed for software vendors shipping endpoint-resident software into professional and regulated environments.
Endpoint-resident software refers to applications, agents, or tools that are installed and run on customer-managed machines rather than exclusively in a web browser.
Big Picture exists to solve a class of problems that sit between build pipelines and enterprise IT: update governance, licensing enforcement, distribution control, and operational safety. These problems are common for desktop applications, hybrid SaaS systems with local agents, CLI tools, and other installable software, but are poorly served by existing tooling.
Who Big Picture is for

- ship desktop applications, agents, or installable tools
- support enterprise or regulated customers
- need controlled, auditable update behavior
- require flexible licensing models beyond offline license keys
- must operate in environments with IT-managed deployment or limited connectivity
Big Picture is not intended for consumer software or pure browser-only SaaS products.
Current status
Section titled “Current status”Big Picture is currently in active development and offered via guided early access. Early access customers help validate real-world deployment scenarios, influence feature prioritization, and prepare for production use.
Big Picture is designed to be deployed either as a cloud-hosted service or self-hosted in customer-controlled environments.
